What is Scilab®?

Scilab® is a Matrix-based scientific software package resembling MATLAB® and Xmath®.
Unlike these two software packages, Scilab® is a free software, so that you can reduce your purchase costs, especially with serial equipment.
Scilab® contains hunderts of build-in mathematical functions, rich data structures (including polynomials, rationals, linear systems, lists, etc.) and comes with a number of specific toolboxes for control, signal processing, ...
